Busy, tiring but fun day

It was a pretty long day yesterday, I brought my son to his pediatrician for his Eye check-up , good thing everything is ok. Since we get done at around 4:20 pm at the doctor’s office and I will be meeting my hubby at his work at around 5:30 pm so I decided to go to the Filipino store to pick up some fresh veggies, since its Tuesday, the guy working there says Wednesday is their delivery day. So I just bought suman sa gata (sticky rice cooked in coconut milk) and kalamansi. As I was heading back to the casino where my hubby is working, I saw a pretty big and dark smoke in the sky, coming from the direction where im going, got a little nervous because there’s a lot of business establishment on that area and I also called Paul just to be sure that he is aware of the pretty big smoke coming within their area. So when I get hold of him and told him about what I saw, he said it’s coming from the small motel/hotel next to them. But its already contained by the firefighters because when im almost near the casino’s I couldn’t see the black smoke anymore and I can just hear sirens from the fire trucks. At first I was a little bit hesitant to park at circus circus casino because im afraid that there will be a lot of traffic and road will probably be closed because of the fire. But thank God nothing like that. And the fire was controlled before it will create a big damage. But anyway after meeting with my hubby we all went to Kohls department store for shopping. After more than or almost 2hours at the store I was amazed with the stuff that we bought for the price that we paid. Its all so worthy. That’s why I keep telling my hubby, that I just love your clearances here.. and to show you the facts here are some of the pictures taken enjoy..

Got back home safe and sound

Hi guys, so we finally made it to Idaho and we just got back last night. It was just an overnight trip we left Friday around noon because we still have to pick up the rental car in Reno airport that morning and drove to Idaho for 7hours. When we arrived in Idaho at my sister in law’s house hubby transfer all our stuff from the rental car to the other car for they wanted to return the rental car that very same night. The reason for this is that, The airport in Twin Falls Idaho will be having an air show the following day which is Saturday and the place will be mob with people and it will be hard for us to return the rental that day so my sister in law doesn’t want to put us on that situation so might as well returned it that Friday. Good thing we did because according to Sam (my sister in law’s grand daughter) that the place was pack with people, though they did enjoy the air show saw the angels and stuff like that but they got sun burn. Opps that’s not good.. so to you guys who wants to spend some time out doors don’t forget to put your lotions..

Dada entertainment released new public API and affiliate program

Good news to all of us, who are music lovers, did you know that Dada Entertainment, a well recognized Ringtons and MP3 music provider has just released anew and exciting public API and associated program. This is actually pretty cool. Now I don’t have to worry as to what other website to look for when it comes to ringtones. I actually love to personalize my ringtons, I don’t know why, but I think it makes your call unique and people calling you for sure will have a great time listening to your customized ringtons and not just listen to the same old ringtons. It’s a treat to your callers and it’s also something unique and fun to do so. But anyway I’m just happy to announce about the launching of the Dada.net affiliate program. They have a lot of cool stuff to offer to their partners, like their Music Affiliate Program, their partners receive unlimited access to this information, a must-have for any music website out there; aside from being a provider of mobile entertainment services they also operate a progressive Music Social Network with over 10 million members. Wow that is impressive. So go check them out to find out more.

Dont rush....and take it slow...

I called the car rental company which I wont mentioned names anymore few days ago. After talking to hubby about their asking priced and after checking airfare to Twin Falls Idaho for a one way ticket, we end up thinking and weighing our choices as to which way were really going for. But now, I think im pretty much sure were going to take a car rental to Idaho. Well I know I mentioned in my other entry that its way to expensive, but instead of 2days rent, were only going to do it to 1day and that really saves us a lot of money. So that means, 3 of us can still go to Idaho. Unlike if my hubby decided to fly then I may have to bring him to the airport and his the one who will go to Idaho. Thank God, for giving us the patience and not rushing to any kind of decision…

Which way are we really going for?

Were supposed to go to Idaho end of this month, but I told hubby if we could change it and instead go there next weekend, that’s Friday and Saturday for us. So he said yes and its ok so we planned on taking a rental car, but after making some few calls to the car rental company today (which I wont mention names anymore) we decided not to use their service anymore. Its way to expensive didn’t realize that it will cost that much for a two days rental and were gonna pick it up here in Reno and dropped it on Twin Falls Idaho. Since car rental is expensive I decided to checked the airlines ticket (one way) from Reno to Twin Falls also and it cost less rather than taking the car rental. And I told hubby about our two options, so we are still weighing our choices. Men everything is so expensive now, couldn’t wait to find out also myself about the prices of commodities back home. I hope its really not that bad…

YoNaturals launches healthystudentvending.com.

As a mother to my active 10months old baby boy, I always make it a point that my baby is getting the good amount of nutrition that he needs. And that means introducing him to food that will make his mind and body strong and healthy. I’m sure this is also the same for moms out there whose kids are already going to school. We all wanted our kids to be eating healthy and getting the right nutrition possible and not just some kind of junk food. We cannot guard what our children is doing all the time nor keeping them away from those unhealthy vending machines. We all knew how kids are, some may be hesitant to try new things, but in general I think they don’t care what they put into their mouth as long as it tastes good no matter what the nutritional value of it. Now there’s a product called YoNaturals - Healthy Student Vending that can be use to replace those high calorie with those that are organic and all-natural, and which will fit nutritional guidelines. I know kids, parents, students or school board member are unenthusiastic to try new products. But there’s a 7 step guide on how to provide schools with a Healthy Student Vending. My baby is already 10months old

Went to Laura Park in Fallon Nevada today for friend’s birthday. The birthday celebrant decided to have it in the park for changed in scenery. And I think it was a good idea for the kids were also having so much fun together. And not only today was the celebration of my friend’s birthday but my son also turned 10 months old today. As much as we can we try to celebrate it every month with a simple cake or whatever that is available for souvenir, its just our way of showing how grateful and thankful we are for having a wonderful son and every month is a milestone for us. And were just so happy about it.

TRAVEL ADVISORY ON FREE BAGGAGE ALLOWANCE

50 POUNDS OR 23 KILOS LIMIT PER PIECE OF CHECKED-IN BAGGAGE TO AND FROM USA (INCLUDING GUAM) AND CANADA

Following the lead of most airlines flying trans-Pacific routes, Philippine Airlines will start implementing for all tickets issued or re-issued starting 01 July 2008 a limit of 50 pounds (23 kilos) for each of the two pieces of free baggage on flights to and from the United States, including Guam and Canada. The Civil Aeronautics Board approved the reduction of the baggage allowance last 12 June 2008.

Tickets issued before 01 July 2008- but for travel from 01 July 2008 onward - still entitle passenger to the erstwhile free baggage weight limit of 70 pounds (32 kilos) per piece.

PAL is constrained to take this step as a consequence of record-high fuel prices that have adversely impacted the airline industry worldwide. The International Air Transport Association has forecast a massive global industry lost of $6.1 billion for 2008. In response, most major carriers have reduced free baggage allowance or imposed new fees for checked baggage as a way of easing operational cost.

The 50-pound limit allows smoother connections for PAL passengers traveling to and from interior points in the U.S. and Canada, where domestic flights have already applied the new weight cap. Also, most U.S. carriers have limited free checked baggage allowance to only one piece, while some have eliminated it altogether, charging $15 for the first checked bag and $25 for the second.

Note: As part of the Elite level privileges, Mabuhay Miles Premier Elite members and Million Milers can carry one (1) extra piece of luggage (not exceeding to 50 pounds or 23 kilos) when flying to and from the USA (including Guam) and Canada on Philippine Airlines.

Lesson Learned it is...

Yesterday was Friday and hubby is off from work, so we went to Fallon DMV about 20miles east from where we live. We decided to go there for hubby is going to renew our car registration and Fallon DMV is really not that busy at all unlike if were goin to Reno DMV where you have to wait for hours. I was already there last Wednesday trying to request a duplicate for our car registration but wasn’t successful at all, its because my name wasn’t on the title when we purchased our car 2years ago, I decided not to include my name that time for I don’t want them to check on my credit history. But anyway lesson learned is that since hubby is working and Im a stayed at home mom so better include your name as much as you can next time so you don’t have to wait for hubby to do these things. So that you'll be able to spend more quality time among yourselves during hubby's day off from work. Besides since I’m already driving this stuff would be much easier next time.

Just living and loving

Hi guys, men, ppp a while ago were really over flowing with opportunities… that doest happened all the time, at least from what I have observed. But anyway I’m just glad I caught 2 though, in spite of our busy schedule now. Anyway a friend from the same city back home introduced me into this blogging world, hesitant at first but eventually I gave it a try, I have nothing to loose, were my words. Now I couldn’t imagine blogging not being part of my world anymore I think part of me will be completely lost. That its why ever since I started it Im just loving it. It really helps a lot, for me as a busy mom to an active little boy helps me stay abreast and connected to the outside world. Other than doing some household stuff around the house this is my “me time” when my baby is sleeping. And it has a tremendous positive effect on me. What can I say…

Take Control Stem Cell Innovation for Women

Centuries ago, women are not allowed to work or to go to school. The role of women before is simply to stay home, take care of her husband, attend to her children’s needs, cook, do the laundry, and etc. But that was before, women in today’s world has come a long way, as we could possibly imagined. Both man and woman are equally the same now. Whatever man can do, its also the same with the woman, we can compete with men now in most aspect, and treatment is all equal. Sometimes I think that the role of a woman is much more challenging, demanding and tricky than a man (no offence gentleman). It’s a never ending job, just like motherhood; well I remember what my friend told me that motherhood has a beginning but no ending. And I definitely agree with that, and im sure you guys would also agree with me. Today’s aside from the hectic way of life where most women are juggling with the demands of their careers, family, relationship and other sort of activities, what most of us doesn’t know is that, we might be the solution of treating incalculable possible serious diseases. And it actually comes from our own body through menstruation. If this is actually true this is really a good news. CNNMoney to find out more…

Taking Control: Future Therapies for a Host of Serious Diseases May Be Found in Women's Menstrual Blood July 07, 2008: 01:28 PM EST OLDSMAR, Fla., July 7 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ --

With today’s hectic lifestyle, where most women are juggling careers, family, relationships, and a host of activities, the idea of possibly facing a serious illness in the future is not something that readily comes to mind -- especially when a woman is in the prime of her life. But what most women don’t know, is that the key to treating a number of possibly life-threatening diseases that she, a parent, a sibling or even her children may face in later years, such as osteoporosis, heart disease, stroke, Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease, may be found within her own body -- in vital stem cells, which can now be harvested from her own menstrual blood. Now, thanks to the revolutionary research and technology of C’elle, a service dedicated to providing women with a safe and easy method of collecting and preserving stem cells found in her menstrual fluid each month, even the busiest woman can take control of her future, right in the privacy of her own home. With C’elle’s non-invasive collection process, menstrual cells are processed and cryo-preserved (stored at a very low temperature) for potential cellular therapies that may be used in the future. These self-renewing cells one day may even be used for sports medicine or cosmeceutical treatments, such as anti-aging therapies. "C’elle enables and empowers a woman to take control of her future health, and possibly of those genetically closest to her, in a fast, painless and stress free way," said Michelle Kay, Marketing and Sales Manager for C’elle. "We live in exciting times, as science and technology are discovering how extremely valuable menstrual blood stem cells really are, and the enormous treatment potential they represent for future therapies. C’elle’s ongoing research is supporting these promising findings." For more information about C’elle, please call 1-877-892-3553 or visit www.celle.com.

Just another day....

Its Sunday again, 2days after the very nice and colorful fireworks display last Friday July 4. We actually went to see the beautiful fireworks display but only on the distance. Didnt went to close to where it is actually being held for i dont want to be trapped in traffic on our way out. But the place where we stayed while looking the fireworks display was in an ellevated area and almost over-looking the place so I think were good to go on that part.
Boy can you guys imagine that its already July, time is really fast approaching, no wonder its getting hotter and hotter here in our area plus not to mention the smoke that is still going on due to the fire in California. I’m sure we all hope that it will be over soon and that people who have evacuated will soon be able to return to their own homes. Anyway I’ve been busy today, for I listed our SUV in Craigs List website. Yes we are selling our car now, after almost 2years, I just hope that somebody will like it and eventually buy it… It’s a very nice car, drives and runs really well but its just getting too small for us. So we hope to find a nicer one that would fit to our families needs and budget….

The never ending packing..

I just finished filing my 2nd balikbayan box which will be sent anytime this month. Thinking I didn’t need a second one anymore, for my first box was pretty full and I didn’t realized that we were able to accumulate a lot of stuff through the year. So the other night, I just finally finished stacking my second box, and there’s still not enough room. I showed it to hubby and he said that it wasn’t really bad, and that I did alright with my initial packing. Wasn’t final yet for he will be the one who will go through with all the stuff that will send to the Philippine and try to re-arranged it so that everything will fit perfectly, he’s good at that that’s why I’ll leave that part on him. Although I still wanted to add some very sensitive item(s) on the box so that I don’t have to carry them with, but I think I may still have to consider that one, so that may still be a possibility. But on the other hand, the other side of my brain is also telling me to just bring those items with me personally so that I don’t have to worry about it also getting lost… Hmmmm.. now I don’t know, im thinking, and I have to think fast for time is running out..
